WOMEN’S HEALTH PHYSIOTHERAPY

The main focus is strengthening and stability exercises of the entire trunk muscles, diaphragm and pelvic floor, pelvic floor muscles’ relaxation and coordination, as well as postural alignment corrections. In the first session, the physiotherapist will assess and plan the best intervention for you, with the aim of improving your symptoms and quality of life.

PREPARTUM PHYSIOTHERAPY

The main goal is to help the body to adapt to the weighted gain and associated postural adjustments. The physiotherapist will carry out a complete structural, muscular, ligamentous and visceral assessment.

TREATMENT:

  • Specific exercises;
  • Maintenance of pelvis alignment (bone, muscle and ligaments);
  • Uterus’ ligament mobilization;
  • Pelvic floor (perineal) massage;
  • Back massage;
  • Manual lymphatic drainage.

TREATMENT GOALS:

  • Bad posture correction;
  • Release of pelvic, lumbar and abdominal discomfort;
  • Release headaches, heavy legs, heartburn, constipation;
  • Promote the correct positioning of the baby;
  • Promote a less painful birth;
  • Prevent problems that may arise after birth.

You can schedule your session after 12 weeks of pregnancy (with the authorization from your obstetrician). You should do one session per week during the pregnancy.

POSTPARTUM PHYSIOTHERAPY

In the first session, the physiotherapist will carry out an assessment so that you can safely and effectively recover your health, shape, and well-being.

WHAT WE TREAT:

  • Pelvic organ prolapse, grade I and II (descent of the uterus, bladder, urethra, small intestine and/or rectum);

At moveOn Fisio you can schedule your first session 4 to 6 weeks after a natural birth or 6 to 8 weeks after a cesarean. You need to have permission from your obstetrician. Sessions are individual and personalized according to your needs and goals. You can bring your baby to our clinic.
